As our Technical Director, Gareth spends a lot of time with customers, understanding their business requirements and working out the best technology approach to meet them effectively.

Clients benefit from his 20-plus-years’ experience of delivering technical success for a variety of organisations. These include everything from large enterprises and government bodies to newly funded startups.

Before becoming Technical Director, Gareth set up Softwire’s data and analytics practice. He built up our capabilities in areas such as data science and artificial intelligence, and has been the driving force behind successful projects that use these approaches to achieve real-world benefits for our customers.

Gareth shot briefly to national fame when a chance meeting with Labour Leader Ed Miliband led to him being mentioned several times in a conference speech. Within 24 hours #gareth trended second on Twitter, and Gareth was interviewed live on Newsnight!
